Every time I Skype someone from back home, they comment on the birds in the background. I've gotten used to them over the past year, but I think once I get home I'll realize that nothing sounds like the birds in Oz. I wish I could always have kookaburras and cockatoos in my backyard. I think I might even miss that ugly ibis.
